I’ve realized something about myself lately…
I am OBSESSED with being outside! 😂
Walking, hiking, running – I just want MORE of it.
I walk outside before work around our acreage whenever I can. I get outside on my lunch breaks. When we’re away at basketball tournaments with our girls, I’ll go for a walk in the city between games.
Give me an opportunity to get outside and move, and I’m definitely going to take it every time!
And lately, it’s had me thinking about something bigger:
What do I want more of in my life?
Not what should I be doing more of. Not what would make me more productive. Not another thing to add to my already-full calendar.
But, what do I genuinely LOVE doing, and how can I make a little more room for it?
For me, the answer is ridiculously easy: I want to be outside. 🌲
I want to walk more. Hike more. Explore more. Spend more time in nature. And instead of waiting until I magically have huge chunks of free time, I’ve been finding little pockets where I can fit it in.
A walk before work.
Getting outside at lunch for a run (usually a 5k!).
Walking between basketball games.
It doesn’t always have to be an entire afternoon or a perfectly planned adventure to count.
Ideally, I could spend every day here! 😜

And I think we can apply this to so many things.
Maybe you love reading, painting, gardening, cooking, spending time with friends, being outside, travelling, creating something, playing a sport… whatever it is that makes you feel a little more like YOU.
Ask yourself: What do I wish I did more of?
And then maybe the next question isn’t, “How do I completely rearrange my life to make that happen?”
Maybe it’s simply: “Where can I make a little more room for it?”
Fitting in fresh air whenever I can: lunch breaks are my go-to!

Sometimes we’re so busy trying to improve our lives that we forget to actually fill them with things we enjoy.
You don’t necessarily need to change your whole life.
Maybe you just need to make a little more room for the parts of it you LOVE. 💕
So, I’ll leave you with this:
What do you want more of in your life – and where could you fit just a little bit more of it into your week?
