"Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result."

Bob Proctor

Having dreams and goals is amazing! But unless you have a PLAN, there isn’t much point.

It’s like telling Siri on your smartphone to give you directions to “the lake”. It’s pretty vague and doesn’t get you anywhere.

Your plan is to first determine where you are (aka point A), and where you want to be (aka point B).

Once you decide your destination, the key to your success will rely on YOU being held accountable for getting it done! Taking the necessary paths to get from point A… to point B.

So how do you do that?

I’m happy you asked! I’m going to lead you through some ideas that you can implement today so you can start crushing your goals now

First, you will want to sit down and map out your goals. If you’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed by this thought, I can help with that as well. (It’s why I began hosting workshops specifically for this purpose. If you want to know more about my goal-setting process and workshops, I’d love to give you the details!

Once you’ve determined those goals, it’s essential that you set up a routine.

Be sure and test out your routine and make any necessary adjustments so that it works for you and your schedule.

This next step is most important! Set up your accountability system for inevitable success!

Here are 3 proven steps that can help you achieve your goals:

1. Find an accountability partner

  • Look within your social circles and find someone that you know will hold you accountable. It needs to be someone that you know you will be able to rely on. Sit down and talk with them and outline your specific goals, when and how you plan to complete them, and how often you will be checking in with them.
  • An idea of some people you can ask: friends, family, someone from networking circles, from your church or social clubs, parents of your kids’ classmates, coworkers, etc.
  • This person should have values similar to yours and be willing to deliver a level of commitment to your success. Ensure they’re going to be supportive – not carefree.
  • The role of your accountability partner is to provide support, motivation, and feedback so they can help you stay on track toward achieving your goals. This should involve regular check-ins, sharing progress, offering encouragement, and holding you accountable for taking action. Establishing clear guidelines and boundaries ensures a productive and supportive relationship.
  • Sweeten the deal for them by offering to do the same for them. If they don’t need an accountability partner, maybe your weekly meeting can involve you taking them out for a special coffee or dinner date.

2. Be accountable to yourself

  • You need to be pretty disciplined for this one. This is where most people don’t follow through because if they haven’t done it on their own by now, then history tends to repeat itself. If you want to make changes – you need to change old behaviors.
  • There are lots of apps out there depending on what your goals are. For example, if your goal involves weight loss, you could try an app like Lose It!. Simply track your calories and exercise daily. An added bonus – Lose It! also has an online community for extra support. Or, maybe your goal involves more mindfulness. An app that I use every day for my morning meditation is Insight Timer, and you can set up a daily reminder so you don’t “forget”.
  • This one is simple: A good old calendar that hangs on your wall! When you have completed your desired action for the day, you put a nice big checkmark ✅ on the day (or an “X” if that is more visually appealing to you). There is something very satisfying about seeing a full month’s worth of check marks confirming you have crushed it!! 💪

You ARE going to have results in the next 3 months...

You can keep doing the same thing you've been doing and continue to get the same results. OR, by changing a few manageable behaviors, and with the support and accountability of a coach, you can get the results you've been wanting!
So which results would YOU want to have 3 months from now?

#3 Hire a health coach

  • This is one of the BEST and most effective ways to make sure you will GET. IT. DONE.
  • Find a coach that is able to help you with your specific goals.
  • They should have knowledge and expertise in nutrition, exercise, AND behavior and habit changes. Guiding you with evidence-based strategies tailored to your needs.
  • A health coach will create a personalized plan considering your unique lifestyle, preferences, and health conditions.
  • A great coach will offer encouragement and motivation, helping you overcome obstacles and stay motivated during challenging times (and yes… there will be challenges!)
  • Most importantly, working with a health coach will lead to sustainable lifestyle changes promoting long-term health and well-being.

I hope you find these accountability ideas helpful!

It’s important to remember that you are making the necessary changes in your life because YOU want to.

It’s hard to do something because someone else wants you to – or you’re doing it for reasons other than yourself.

When you’re going over your goals, ensure they’re something you truly want to do.

If the answer is yes, then a community supporting you through these changes is incredibly helpful and motivating. Fortunately, most people want you to succeed!

As a habit change specialist and health coach, my specialty is working with women between the ages of 25 and 60+ who are just stretched too thin.

These women just don’t have the time to figure it out on their own. They would rather just cut to the chase to get there faster.

I collapse time for you because I’ve taken extensive training so that within DAYS (yup! DAYS), you will find that you already have more energy, a routine that works with your schedule, and small changes that easily work with even the busiest of schedules.

I have two signature programs:

  • One is geared towards weight loss through small, sustainable changes,
  • The other will help those who are “too tired” to get their energy back.

Imagine how incredible you’d feel, getting to the end of the day without wanting to collapse from exhaustion!! I can help solve that for you. ❤️

If you would like to know more about working with me, let’s talk!

Cheers to your best health!
